2003–2005
Agreements with Datex_Ohmeda (GE Healthcare) with common studies
have been carried out with validation of the SC parameter. Our SC
has performed far better than the other parameters (as GE's Entropy).
2005 BIS is advised to be used in the US Anaesthesia procedures to
level depth of sleep as good practise by the FDA.
2006
Med Storm’s Stress detector is suggested as good practise within
determining pain for premature children by US Neonatal pain Control
group. Med-Storm was the only “start-up company at the annual
meeting for European Society for Anaesthesiology to present and
discuss our latest results from clinical studies at a plenary
session. The pain monitor from GE Healthcare was also presented but
concluded to be less sensitive than the Pain Detector™.
Aspect Medical Systems will fund a study performed by Med-Storm to
get first hand knowledge about SC equipment. The study took place
winter 2007.
Respironics considering entering into research collaboration to
study chronic pain.
2007
Johnson & Johnson through Penn State University initiated a research
agreement within neonatal unit in order to facilitate the Med-Storm
equipment.
Other companies were also in contact with Med-Storm for
collaboration proposals.
